Television & Radio Broadcast Experience

Host and co-producer of The Jazz Scene from June to November 1995, a weekly, 60-minute television program airing on three leased access channels in Tampa Bay, Florida reaching 300,000 households. The program gave viewers a behind the scenes peek at local jazz clubs, jazz concerts and jazz artists. As host, I interviewed local jazz acts and nationally known jazz artists such as Ramsey Lewis, Omar Hakim, Art Porter and Victor Bailey of Urban Knights. As co-producer, I assisted in identifying venues, booking artists and wrote my own interview questions and dialog for the program.

Host and executive producer of Inside The Atlanta Tribune from January to October 1999, a monthly, 30-minute business television program that expanded on Atlanta area business issues covered in “Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine.” The program aired on the Media One Cable Local Access Channel and reached over 500,000 area households. As executive producer, I created the segment concepts/editorial content and co-wrote the dialog. As host I interviewed local business people, corporate executives and such celebrities as Ervin “Magic” Johnson.

Host and co-producer of Mind Over Money from May to October 1999, a weekly, 30-minute wealth-building radio program targeted at novice to intermediate investors. As host of the program, which aired on WAEC 680 AM in Atlanta, I interviewed local finance and investing professionals and received calls from program listeners. As co-producer, I created the program format, wrote all dialog and interview questions and wrote a weekly 60-second commentary for the end of each program.

I’ve also appeared as a guest on numerous news and public affairs television and radio programs in Atlanta, Georgia and Tampa and Jacksonville, Florida.
