Over 50? Stop making these 5 exercise mistakes

Don’t make these 5 BIG mistakes if you’re over 50 and just starting to exercise again!

Mistake #1: Thinking You’re 20 Again. You’re not! … and your body will let you know it!. Leave the insane boot camp workouts to your grandkids. Start slow, build up, and avoid the agony of defeat!

Mistake #2: Ignoring Warm-Ups. This a recipe for disaster! Warm up your muscles, knees, back, hips, and shoulders. Trust me, they’ll all get together and send you a thank you card.

Mistake #3: Going Heavy Too Soon. If you want to retain muscle… you need to LIFT HEAVY… But not too soon! Start light to get your muscles and joints used to bearing weight and to avoid injuries. Remember – you don’t heal up as quick as you used to!

Mistake #4: Skipping Recovery. When you exercise, you’re tearing down muscles. Muscle-building happens during recovery, so your body needs that recovery time. So, every third day or so, put your feet up and read a good book… Trainer’s orders.

Mistake #5: Neglecting Nutrition. Do I really have to say again that can’t out-train a bad diet? Stop eating fast foods and factory-processed meals. Instead, focus on nature’s foods and getting your protein, Hey… a donut is not a recovery snack. Sorry, not sorry.

BOOM! Avoid these 1, 2, 3, 4, five mistakes, and you’ll live a longer healthier life without turning into a gym casualty. So c’mon, let’s get started but let’s do this, the smart way! Age may just be a number… but you don’t want to be a statistic.

PEACE!
